Soils lie beneath our feet everywhere - yet we rarely notice them. They support our infrastructures, supply our food, purify water, store carbon, host immense biodiversity, preserve treasures of past civilizations, and shape the landscapes we live in. Despite their importance, soils often remain invisible in everyday conversations and everyday life. 

This MOOC invites you to discover the hidden world of soils and explore their connections to ecosystems, landscapes, and human society. Along the way, you will not only learn how soils form and function but also reflect on your own relationship with soils - what you know about them, how you perceive them, and how you might take care of them. 

Our aim with this MOOC is simple: to spark curiosity and encourage dialogue about soils.
